Book-Making

The process of writing and producing your book, goes something like this:

We will contact each other to discuss your story or concept, coming to a mutual decision about how long the book should be, and what format it should be in. There is an initial consultation fee, which is payable for each job.

I currently work with Kindle Direct (Amazon), producing paperbacks with a choice of black and white, or colour, printing, with glossy or matte covers. There are a range of different sizes available to choose from. Amazon currently only print paperbacks - at present, I'm looking into hardback providers, to give a wider range of options. We can also produce an e-book from your manuscript, using the paperback manuscript as a template.

I will then write your story, and/ or set it out in your chosen size template (whichever you prefer). There is some flexibility with regards to cover design; I can design one for you, unless you already have your own cover.

I will then send you a proof, before making the book available on Amazon. At this point in time (I am in the UK) paperback printing is available both in the UK and US, but not always in other territories.

When you are happy with the final result, the book can be used to generate Amazon sales,, for which quarterly accounts are available. You will receive 50% of the commission for all sales made. You can also order as many author copies of the paperback as you like, either as gifts or for resale.

As a rough price guide, I would charge 1500GBP for every 100 pages of text. However, your book may be either shorter or longer, or require a different approach (particularly if it's a picture-book) - so, a bespoke project will come at a more negotiable price (for packages, see Prices). I will charge 50% of the negotiated price as a deposit, and 50% on completion of the project.

Lastly, I am not a ghostwriter - so any credits, would appear as follows: Author: (your name) WITH Christina Crimari.

Let's get together, and write some books!
